This is a video interview that my wife recorded in 2011 on the day I passed 150,000 miles on the bike. It's funny and yet serious at the same time. The only problem I have with it is watching myself talk.
We did this because, as I said, it did matter to me. It is an accomplishment-it took over 10,000 hours, and yet in the end it is all just smoke. The Hindus would suggest that we create activities or gunas that we use to reinforce our definitions of ourselves (ego), and then we buy into these beliefs. All just smoke. In the end, I am simply this consciousness.
And to answer the question of where I am now. I am at 176,000 miles. Will I make 200,000? Who knows. And yes, it's all just smoke.
